Where to find tin in Valheim

In short, you can find tin in Valheim along the shores and near water sources in the black forest biome; just have a stroll near any water source, and you should find tin deposits spawning in small metal clumps.

Once you find the tin you need, you can mine it with an antler pickaxe and up; if you don't have this pickaxe yet, you will need to defeat the first boss to get an item called a hard antler to make it. When you mine the tin with a pickaxe, it will drop up to four tin ore, which you can then smelt down inside a smelter that requires at least five surtling cores to make.

After this, you can then take one tin and combine it with two copper to make bronze inside a forge. when you make bronze for the first time, many new crafting recipes will become available to you; we recommend making both bronze axe and pickaxe first to make harvesting resources easier.

Along with this, you can also craft the cultivator to plant any carrot seeds you find inside the black forest. You will also be able to make a cauldron with ten tin, which Is vital in the crafting of meads that serve as the game's potions and health items. However, if you make a cauldron be sure to learn how to make and use a fermenter as it is also needed to make meads.
