How to make Carapace Armor in Valheim – Armor Crafting Guide

There are many armor sets that players can craft in Valheim. One armor set is called the Carapace Armor set, and it was added with the Mistlands Update for Valheim. However, crafting armor sets like the Carapace Armor is challenging for new players, as you must gather many resources. Luckily, our guide will explain where to find and get everything you need to make a Carapace Armor set in Valheim Mistlands. 

How to craft Carapace Armor in Valheim 

To make a full Carapace Armor set in Valheim, you need 55 Carapace, nine Scale hides, two Mandilbes, 10 Iron, and 25 Refined Eitr. You also need a Black Forge built with its Black Forge Cooler upgrade. Here's how and where to get all the required resources below. 

• How to get Carapace - You can get Carapace by hunting the Seeker bug enemies that roam the Mistlands Biome in Valheim.
• How to get Scale Hides - You can get Scale Hides by hunting rabbit animal mobs called Hares in the Mistlands Biome. (yes, you read that correctly).
• How to get Mandibles - You can get Mandibles by slaying Soldier Seeker enemy variants in the Valheim Mistlands biome. If you do not know what a soldier seeker is, it's a big, heavily armored bug that doesn't fly.

• How to make Iron bars - You must gather Scrap Iron inside the Swamp biome and smelt it to make Iron. Inside the Swamp biome, you can find Scrap Iron in Sunken Crypts that require a Swamp Key to open.
• How to Make Refined Eitr - To make Refined Eitr, you must make a Sap Extractor for Sap and gather Soft Tissue from Giant Petrified Skulls in the Mistlands Biome. After collecting at least 20 Sap and Soft Tissue, place it inside an Eitr Refinery to make Refined Eitr.
• How to build and upgrade a Black Forge - To craft and upgrade a Black Forge, you must first build one using 14 Black Marble, 10 Yggdrasil Wood, five Black Cores, five Iron, and five Copper. After building the Black Forge, you can upgrade it by placing a Black Forge Cooler near the Black Forge with a hammer tool. To make a Black Forge Cooler, you need five Iron, five Copper, and four Black Marble.

How to Upgrade Carapace Armor in Valheim

To fully upgrade a set of Carapace Armors in Valheim, you must first upgrade the Black Forge. So far, the max update level the Black Forge has is level two, so all you have to do is place the Black Forge Cooler next to it. Here's everything you need to make a Black Forge in Valheim:
