20 - Flying Dutchman

Seed: -2858401236213354708

Version: Bedrock

Originally, I chose this seed due to the presence of two Cold Ocean Ruins on the beach near Spawn. However, after exploring the ocean I came across this shipwreck flying high in the sky! Half of the shipwreck is 100 blocks above the water while the other half rests on the bottom of the ocean floor. I'm not sure what ghostly tricks have suspended the ship, but I'm sticking around to find out.

Coastal Ruins: Spawn
Underwater Cold Ocean Ruins: -202, -139
Flying Dutchman: 181, 161, 196

The first thing you'll see when you enter this world is a vast Mangrove Swamp. The lively Plains Village next to it is the second thing you'll see! It is one of the best seeds if you're looking for a relaxing Mangrove start. The kelp in the ocean can be used as a fuel source in place of coal. Additionally, there is a ruined portal beneath the waves that promises extra treasure.

Seed: 8657122694532052679

Savanna biomes can feel a little plain when they are flat and endless. I really like this Savanna biome because its many plateaus, hills, and valleys make exploring it a lot more interesting! The mountains contain many precious ores while the valleys contain great sources of water. Additionally, the Savanna contains three villages for players to uncover as they wander around this beautiful biome.

A ruined Nether portal lurks beneath the sands of this Desert Village. Only those who approach the village from behind can catch a glimpse of it and the Netherrack around it. It's impossible to tell which structure came first. Perhaps the Desert Villagers initially lived in the Nether and left it behind for a life in the Desert.

Dangerous mobs cannot spawn on Mycelium, making Mushroom Islands one of the safest places for Minecraft players to live. Of all of the villages in Minecraft, Savanna Villages look the most at home in Mangrove Swamps. This one is half in the swamp and half in the nearby Savanna. Its beauty is emphasized by the giant Windswept Hills and cascading waterfalls in the background.

Traveling to Alaska is expensive. Recreating an ice-fishing paradise in Minecraft is much cheaper! This ice-fishing village is right next to Spawn, containing Villagers, horses, pigs, and cats. The ice nearby has plenty of gaps from the villagers fishing in different locations. Craft a fishing rod and enjoy this peaceful life with them.

If they spot you, you'll need to choose between fighting your way out of it and fleeing as far as you can. Seed: 7735100375982406002

Version: Java

Spawn is set on the edge of a Meadow Mountain with a view of a deep cavern. Entering it reveals a mineshaft and an amethyst geode very close to the entrance. Be careful, as an exposed Cave Spider Spawner rests on part of the mineshaft at the beginning of the cave. Traversing passed the Amethyst Geode will lead you into another section of the mineshaft. When you want to return above ground, there are three Plains Villages in the area to rest at.

These villages call the Desert and the Badlands their home. Follow their suit by building a sandstone base near the ocean, growing durable crops like their special wheat, and using camels to help around your home. A second village a few hundred blocks away can be traded with for materials the first does not have. If you're looking for a little more adventure, check out the shipwrecks and ocean ruins in the Coral Reef and beyond.

Version: Java

This Mansion is within 500 blocks from Spawn, making it close enough to raid at any time but far enough to not pose a threat right after you spawn. The area around it contains several biomes, including Birch Forests, Dark Forests, and a Taiga biome. Checking the water source nearby will reveal a shipwreck and a piece of buried treasure that will help you take down the inhabitants of the Woodland Mansion.

Version: Java

Walking into this Desert Village makes it seem just like any other in Minecraft. However, looking closely reveals a Desert Temple masquerading as part of the village! You'll have to decide for yourself if the villagers are unaware of the looming threat, or if they themselves are a part of it. Whatever the truth may be, it's a fact that both structures will be full of resources to help you survive in a cruel survival world.

Climbing one of the nearby trees should help you get onto the roof while deciding on a plan of attack.

A lush Bamboo Jungle meets a structure-filled Desert in this seed. It's a particularly sweet deal for Java players, who will be able to find an exposed dark oak mineshaft near Spawn as well as a second oak mineshaft further into the Desert.
